As part of the University's Information fsSecurity Awareness Program, the Information Security Office, in conjunction with University IT, the College of Business and Public Information's Computer Information Systems program and faculty, staff and student volunteers is hosted the first annual Cyber Security Awareness Week.

The events scheduled were as follows:


1.  Grill the ISO Cook Outs featuring -
  • UofL technology partners and affiliates including Sprint, IBM, Delphi Center, Accent Systems, IT Software Resales and more who will be offering their security insights and answering your questions
  • Door prizes every 15 or 20 minutes for people in attendance as well as "Grand Door Prizes" including a Sprint Treo and Cisco wireless router/firewall to be drawn at the end of the last cook out (attendance not required to win the Grand Door Prizes, simply fill out the entry blank and short survey at one of the two cook outs!) IBM is generously donating a golf bag and various shirts for each session, Symantec has donated Flash Drives, travel mugs, USB Hubs, plus more!
  • CIS student produced security movie will be shown continuously at the Red Barn event
  • Free Computer Security CD with software and other information to assist you in maintaining your computer in a secure fashion
  • Free Food, of course, while it lasts!

    Red Barn - Tuesday, October 25, 2005 from 11:30-1:30
    HSC Quad - Thursday, October 27, 2005 from 11:30-1:30.
