Information Security Policies and Standards

Consistent university Information Security policies and supporting standards provide a common approach to compliance, regulatory and operational requirements and support the university in its research and academic missions. UofL's completely revised Information Security Policies and Standards were approved by the Compliance Oversight Council on July 23, 2007.

HIPAA Privacy Policies 

In an effort to promote compliance with patient privacy regulations, the UofL Privacy Office has published the University HIPAA Privacy Policies on its website for viewing and downloading. 

These policy statements are not a substitute for clinic-specific HIPAA protocols or procedures, which should be implemented within the local context of each clinic’s operations.
